Navigating the EV Revolution: DEKRA and Switch's Collaborative Leap

This includes new functionalities like Plug & Charge and bi-directional power flow, positioning DEKRA for their planned ISO15118 and Plug & Charge certification by late 2023 or early 2024.

Switch, one of the first providers of OCPP 2.0.1 certified solutions for EV charging infrastructure worldwide, facilitates in-depth monitoring and analysis of the protocol-based 'conversation' between software and hardware components. This level of testing, particularly for Plug & Charge, represents a significant industry advancement.

The collaboration addresses a critical need in the EV industry for comprehensive evaluation of the communication flow between an EV, a charging station, and the backend. With Switch's technology, DEKRA can extend its current testing setup from the car to the charger and the backend, ensuring safe and reliable charging. This partnership underscores the importance of synergy in driving the EV movement forward, highlighting how software solutions are enabling a green mobility revolution.
